  1. The Pawnee State Park trip was fun. It was a great way to get outside and learn more about nature. I have never kayaked before and it was really interesting to not only learn about it but to actually try it. I really appreciate McKenzie Barry and the NRD for paying for the trip. I also thank Herb Angel for teaching me all about kayaking and allowing me to try it for the first time.

  2. the trip to pawnee state park was a lot of fun and a great way to spend the day! Thanks to Mckenzie Barry and the NRD for paying for our trip out there. It was super cool to see the off spray rip the head off of the fish and eat it. Kayaking was a lot of fun and educational to learn about the boating safety rules!

  3. The Pawnee Trip was awesome! I thoroughly enjoyed myself spending the whole day outside. The weather was really nice, which helped to make the day fun.I liked kayaking. It was more fun than I expected it to be. It was also nice to be able to walk around the Park, through the paths and the beaches. McKenzie was really nice and awesome for bringing us Jimmy Johns. The best school field trip lunch ever. Good stuff.

  5. During my time at the salt creek, I learned a lot about the different factors that determine the conditions and water quality of the creek. Also, I saw how diverse the creek actually was based on your location in the creek as well. This experience has changed my view on the little things that people can do that can change their environment in either a positive or negative way. It is important to determine what you can and cannot do to preserve the outdoors.

  7. Unfortunately, I was sick so I couldn't go on the Pawnee State Park Trip. But the Salt Creek trips were great examples of why I love this class and why I took it in the first place. We got to go out into nature and experience it, and take readings and wildlife samples like a wildlife or conservation biologist would, which is what I want to go to college to become. I also get sick of being cooped up in the school building all day every day. I MUCH prefer being outside, so I'm glad LSW offers a class where I can do that during school hours. :)
